What material(s) do you use for production?

We use various raw materials for our builds. It can be as simple as PLA or a combination of different filaments, brass inserts, other hardware, LED lights, etc. It just depends on the project.

MATERIALS

Polylctic Acid

PLA

Popular solution for basic additive 3D printing. PLA is made from renewable resources like corn starch, plant starch, etc. and is biodegradable.

It's structurally strong, and can be shiny or matte in appearance. It comes in many different colors. However, it is susceptible to high temperature, humidity, etc. Not the best choice for outdoor products.

Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol

PETG

PETG is a popular 3D printing filament known for its excellent balance of strength, and ease of use.

It combines the easy-to-print PLA properties with the durability of ABS.

A great choice for functional parts or objects that need to be translucent.

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene

ABS

ABS is the plastic that LEGOs are made out of. Properties are tough and very durable with high impact tolerance and heat resistance. Unlike PLA, ABS plastic is not biodegradable.

Other than CF. ABS is the best choice for objects that require durability.

CARBON FIBER BLENDS

PET-CF

CF is a a composite for 3D printing, blending polymers such as PLA or PETG with small carbon fibers to create stronger, stiffer and lighter parts.

Ideal material for functional parts and prototypes.

Thermoplastic Polyurethane

TPU

TPU is a flexible, rubber-like material suitable for creating elastic and impact-resistant objects.

Ideal material for functional parts like phone cases, gaskets, automotive components, etc.

NYLON

PA

PA is another great option for mechanical and functional parts that need to be impact-resistant and very stiff.

Use case examples would be DSLR camera cage rigs. electronics connectors, tool accessories, outdoor gear, etc.
