Nicolas (Nick) Romain, known professionally as SUPERNOVA 49 is an American musician based in Melbourne, Florida. He released his debut album Apollo 1 in 2022 and his follow-up album Apollo 2 in 2023. He is currently working on his third major release Apollo 3, which is a musical journey through our solar system.
As a kid, Nick loved movie soundtracks because they contributed to creating amazing worlds.
So, why the "Supernova 49" moniker?
"supernova" because Nick strives to make space music that is large scale and powerful.
"49" because one of his favorite movies + soundtracks of all time is Blade Runner 2049.
"49" also because Nick started making music with a 49-key keyboard.
Using tools like Ableton Live, VSTs, a keyboard and electric guitars, Nick's music style is the fusion of synth, ambient, dance and 80's sounds. Priorities during Nick's creative process are always melodies and rhythm.
The mission is to share music as a way to deal with every day's stress. All the music created by Supernova 49 is available for free via its website or music platforms. There is zero monetization at this stage of this hobby.
